Recruitment of candidates to Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of the National Defence Academy (NDA) is through the NDA entrance exam which is held twice a year, generally in the month of April and September. NDA exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board in India. The students appearing for 10+2 can also apply. For Air Force and Naval Wings of NDA and for the 10+2 cadet entry scheme at the Indian Naval Academy candidate must have studied Mathematics and Physics in 10+2.
- Candidate must be unmarried and physically fit.
Selection Procedure: The NDA Selection Process 2018 is primarily divided into two stages:
- Written examination: This is the first stage of the selection of candidates. The successful candidates from the first stage would be invited to participate in the next round.
- SSB Interview: This is the second and final round of NDA Selection Process. The SSB Interview round comprises of two separate tests – Psychological Aptitude Test and Intelligence Test.
